Surah Fatiha Benefits Or Fazilat

The Surah is also known as Ummul Quran or Ummul Kitab and is the main basis for salat (prayer). It begins from Alhamdulillah and also called Surah Al-Hamd due to this reason. Surah Fatiha is the mostly read Surah of the Holy Quran.

Surah Fatiha Benefits

The main advantage among the Surah Fatiha benefits is that it completes our prayer. As per Sahih Bukhari Hadith No 756, Narrated 'Ubada bin As-Samit: Allah's Apostle said, whoever does not recite Al-Fatiha in his prayer, his prayer is invalid. In Jami at Tirmidhi Hadith No 247, Ubadah bin As-Samil narrated that the Prophet said that there is no Salat for the one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab.

Surah Fatiha can cure several diseases as it is also called Surah Shifa. It also assists in removing the evil eye and protect against the misguidance. Another Surah Fatiha benefit is that the three times recitation offers the reward of two Holy Qurans. It also protects reciter’s heart from envy, jealousy, and other negative emotions.

Surah Fatiha Ki Fazilat

Different hadiths elaborate Surah Fatiha ki fazilat. According to Jami At Tirmidhi Hadith No 1026, Ibn Abbas narrated: The Prophet recited Fatihatil-Kitab for a funeral (prayer). It is narrated on the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka'b (RA) that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said that Allah Almighty has not revealed any Surah in the Torah and Gospel like “Umm Ul-Quran”.

Hazrat Abdullah Bin Abbas (RA) narrated that an angel descended from the heaven and greeted the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! May the good news of the two lights which have not been given to any prophet other than you be given to you, and these two lights are: Surah Al-Fatihah and the last verses of Surah Baqarah.
